DROP DOUGHNUTS 
2 3/4 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 c. milk
2 tsp. vanilla
2 tbsp. melted shortening, cooled
2 c. shortening for frying
1 c. powdered sugar

Sift together all dry ingredients. Add eggs, milk, and vanilla. Stir just enough to mix. Drop by spoonful into hot shortening until brown. Remove and sprinkle with powdered sugar while still warm. Do not store in plastic bag. Makes 30-35.
