CORN LIGHT BREAD | |
2 c. corn meal 1/4 c. sugar 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. dry yeast 1/2 c. flour 1/2 tsp. baking powder 2 c. buttermilk 3 tbsp. melted shortening Mix dry ingredients, including yeast. Add milk and shortening; stir just until mixed. Bake in a greased loaf pan. Cook 55 to 60 minutes at 375 degrees. Let stand in pan 15 minutes; remove to rack to cool. |
