CORN LIGHT BREAD 
2 c. meal
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. baking soda
3 tbsp. shortening (melted)
2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. salt

Mix dry ingredients with buttermilk and melted shortening. Bake in greased loaf pan until golden brown for 1 hour in 350 degree oven. Turn on rack and cool.
