WHOLE WHEAT ROLLS | |
1 c. hot water 2/3 c. sugar 1 tbsp. salt 1/4 c. butter 1 c. warm water 2 pkgs. dry yeast 2 beaten eggs 3 c. white flour 3 c. whole wheat flour Combine hot water with sugar, salt and butter. Cool to lukewarm. Measure warm water into large bowl. Sprinkle in yeast. Stir until dissolved. Stir in lukewarm mixture, eggs, whole wheat flour and half of the white flour. Beat until smooth. Stir in remaining flour to make a soft dough. Place in greased large bowl. Cover and store in refrigerator. Roll out 2 hours before baking. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. |
