Very good tasty recipe. The only quantities I've changed were: 1/4 cups regular dry bread crumbs for the saltine crumbs, and I made more sauce: 1 cup Ketchup, 1/2 cup beef broth and some more soy sauce. Sauce and meatballs turned out delicious, and I served them with buttered short cut spaghetti (also called vermicelli).

Meat ball recipe is very simple and therefore makes improvising easy. I used a wheat cracker crumb, in addition to some paprika and mixed herbs that I had in the cupboard (with more time and preparation, I'd use fresh next time). Also found the sauce a bit too Ketchup-y (though my hubby and kids wouldn't have minded, I am sure), so I added another tablespoon of the soy sauce, tbsp of brown mustard some dehydrated onion and garlic powder (I will use fresh next time). Also after simmering on stove top for about 15 minutes I decided to put the glass pot in the oven for another 20 @ 375°F and the sauce got thick and gooey. Served with a mix of multigrain spaghetti and Ramen noodle (I always ditch the seasoning pack and add a little bit of olive oil, garlic, parsley and a touch of salt and pepper to taste) and a great portion of steamed green beans on the side. The meal please the whole family, especially my 2 and 6 year olds!
