4 slices bacon, cut in 1" pieces
1 sm. head cabbage, coarsely sliced
1 sm. onion, thinly sliced
1/2 tsp. salt

Cook bacon until browned. Add cabbage, onion and salt; stir to coat with bacon drippings. Add 1/2 cup water, cover and cook over medium heat for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
