HERSHEY'S CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE 
1 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
12 oz. pkg. semi-sweet chips

Cream shortening, brown sugar, sugar, and vanilla until light and fluffy. Add eggs, beat well. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt. Add to creamed mixture; stir in chips. Drop by teaspoonful onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes. Makes about 7 dozen.
