1 c. butter, soft
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. oil
2 tbsp. vanilla
5 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar

Cream together butter, sugar and eggs. Mix all until firm. Roll into balls. Roll in colored sugar, mash gently with a glass. Bake 6 to 8 minutes at 350 to 375 degrees. This recipe makes alot.
