PINEAPPLE TORTE 
1 c. milk
1 (10 oz.) pkg. marshmallows

Melt in top of double boiler. Cool. 1 can (pt. size) crushed pineapple, well drained

Mix all together.

Crush and mix with 2 tablespoons sugar and 1/4 pound butter (melted). Spread crumb mixture on bottom of pan, 9 x 13 inch. Press down firmly. Pour on the filling and smooth it. Chill well. Cut and serve.

I sometimes cover it with Jello for a more festive look using colors to fit the occasions. Pour Jello on when both are cold. Top with a bit of whipped cream.
