BETTY'S CORNBREAD 
1/2 c. butter
3/4 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. flour
1 2/3 c. cornmeal
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 3/4 tbsp. baking powder
1 c. milk

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, and beat thoroughly. Sift dry ingredients together, and add to egg mixture alternately with milk. Heat cast iron skillet in 425 degree oven; remove from oven and grease skillet with butter. Bake for 25 minutes at 400 degrees.
