SEVEN LAYER SALAD 
1 pkg. frozen English peas
1 pkg. ranch dressing made by directions
1 can water chestnuts, sliced
2 boiled eggs, sliced
Grated cheese for color
1 head lettuce
1-2 cucumbers
Green bell peppers and/or tomatoes

Arrange broken lettuce on bottom of large rectangular Pyrex dish. Place frozen peas on top of lettuce (this keeps lettuce crunchy). Next, put chestnuts and cucumbers. Pour dressing on top. Garnish with eggs, peppers, and tomatoes. Top with a little grated cheese. This tastes best when made several hours before and stored in refrigerator.
