CHINESE CHOP SUEY | |
About 1 lb. cubed pork, cut small 1 bunch celery 1 lg. or 3 sm. onions Salt and pepper 1/4 c. soy sauce 1 or 2 cans bean sprouts In heavy pan or electric frying pan brown fat cut from pork and sliced thin until crisp, then brown pork cubes in this fat. While meat is browning, cut celery and onions into bite size pieces and add to cooked pork with salt and pepper and cover. Lower heat and simmer until vegetables are soft, not soggy. Add bean sprouts and soy sauce and heat about 3 minutes. (Can stretch by adding cooked hamburger or ground turkey and more bean sprouts.) Serve over Chinese noodles, rice or slice of bread. |
