“STEW DUMPLINGS” IS IN:

STEW DUMPLINGS 
1 cup sifted flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon butter or bacon drippings
1/3 to 1/2 cup milk

Sift dry ingredients together, cut in butter or bacon drippings and stir in just enough milk to make a drop batter.

Drop by spoonfuls over top of stew. Cover pot and steam the dumplings for 15 minutes without lifting the cover. The stew should be kept boiling.

Serves 6.
