TAFFY 
1 1/2 c. sugar
3/4 c. light corn syrup
2 tbsp. butter
2/3 c. water
1 tsp. glycerine
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 tsp. salt

Combine all except vanilla and butter. Mix well and cook well to 260 degrees. Remove and add butter and vanilla. Stir until melted. Pour at once onto oiled cookie sheet. Turn edges to center while cooling. Pull taffy with buttered fingers. Double for a group.
