BUTTER COOKIE 
1 c. butter
1 c. salad oil
1 c. white sugar
1 c. powdered sugar
2 eggs
4 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter, sugar, oil, eggs and vanilla. Then add flour and other dry ingredients. It is best to chill dough overnight. Roll dough into ball size of walnut. Use a small glass, grease bottom with oil; dip bottom of glass in sugar and press down on ball of dough lightly. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes.
