MINCEMEAT BARS 
1 1/2 c. moist mincemeat
2 c. rolled oats
1 1/2 c. flour
1 c. brown sugar, packed tight
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. Crisco

Put rolled oats through food chopper or processor then measure to 2 cups. Add the flour, soda and sugar and mix thoroughly. Cut in butter and Crisco until the mixture is crumbly. Divide into 2 parts. Pack 1/2 firmly in pan (about 7 1/2 x 11 1/2 inches). Spread the mincemeat, prepared as for pie filling, evenly over the crust, then add rest of dough and pack with hand or spoon. Place in a 350 degree oven and bake 40 minutes. Cool thoroughly and cut into 14 or 16 strips or bars.
