1 c. butter and lard mixed
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/2 c. sweet milk
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. cream of tartar (dissolve soda and cream of tartar in milk)
2 tsp. vanilla
Flour for a soft dough (soft as you can handle)

Mix all ingredients and put on ice or in freezer a while. Then roll very, very thin and bake in hot oven. Can keep the dough several days if kept cold.
