3 c. sugar
4 eggs
2 c. Crisco oil
2 c. buttermilk
2 tsp. baking soda
6 c. flour
6 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
3 tsp. vanilla

In a large bowl cream sugar, eggs and oil. In a small bowl mix buttermilk and soda, add to sugar mixture. Sift dry ingredients and add about half of flour at a time. Sprinkle sugar on top before baking. Drop size wanted on a well greased baking sheet. (I drop them from a wooden spoon 6 on a sheet.) Bake at 450 degrees for 4 to 6 minutes.
