DATE ROLL 
2 1/2 c. sugar
2 c. chopped nuts
3/4 c. milk
1 lb. dates

Boil sugar and milk to soft ball stage. Add chopped dates and cook again to soft ball stage. Stir while dates are cooking. Remove from fire; add chopped nuts and stir until cool enough to form in rolls. Wrap in oiled paper. Slice when cold.
