CORN FRITTERS 
1 c. cream-style corn
3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. sugar
dash of pepper
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. butter, melted
1 egg, beaten
oil (for frying)

Add all measured, sifted and mixed dry ingredients to corn in a bowl. Add egg, then melted butter. Pour about an inch of oil into skillet and heat to frying temperature. Drop batter by teaspoonfuls into oil. Turn to brown. Drain on paper towels and serve hot. Yields 10 to 15 fritters.
