2 c. dried apple, well cooked
1/2 lb. butter
2 c. dark brown sugar
2 c. plain flour
2 c. raisins
2 tsp. baking soda
2 eggs

Cream sugar and butter. Add dried apple, flour and soda. Add beaten eggs. Pour in batter. Add raisins last. Mix well and bake at 350 degrees in a loaf pan, 50 to 60 minutes.
