TURTLE CAKE 
1 box Betty Crocker German chocolate cake mix
1 1/3 c. water
1 stick butter
1/3 c. + 6 tbsp. oil
3 eggs
1/2 can Eagle Brand milk

Add all ingredients to the cake mix; mix well. Spread 1/2 cake batter in oblong cake pan, lightly greased and floured. Bake 25 minutes in 325 degree preheated oven, or until toothpick inserted comes out clean. While cake is baking, melt 1 pound caramels and stir in 1/2 can Eagle Brand milk and 1 cup chopped pecans. Spread over baked layer and pour last half of cake batter evenly over caramel. Return to oven and bake 25 minutes at 325 degrees.
