MACAROON TOP APPLE PIE 
4 c. sliced apples
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. sugar

Slice the peeled apples into a buttered 9" glass pie plate. mix sugar and cinnamon. Mix into slices. Bake 20 minutes at 375 degrees.

TOPPING:

1/2 c. sugar
2 tbsp. butter
1 egg
1/2 c. coconut (opt.)
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt

Cream the butter and sugar together, add egg, sifted dry ingredients, vanilla and coconut. Spread completely over the apple surface. Bake 30 minutes longer or 375 degrees or until apples are tender and the crust is golden. Serve wram or cold with ice cream or whipped cream.
