TEACAKES 
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 c. flour
1/2 c. butter
1/4 c. sweet cream
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter and sugar; add beaten eggs. Sift one cup flour with baking powder. Add to mixture. Add vanilla, sweet cream and remaining flour. Mix well. Knead on floured board. Roll out thin. Cut into desired shape. Bake at 350 degrees until lightly brown.

If desired, sprinkle with sugar and nuts while cookies are still hot. Recipe over 150 years old.
