HARDEES BISCUITS 
2 1/2 c. self rising flour
4 tbsp. Crisco
1 tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. buttermilk

Bake at 400 degrees until brown. Then when done, butter the tops.

This is not Hardee's Recipe. Makes O.K. biscuits but not Hardee's. Soda is not needed either..Use really top of the line self-rising if thats what you want to use. A really good all-purpose flour with 2 tbsp. Baking Powder and a little salt works every time. Use Lard not Crisco. Hydrogenated vegetable oil is no better for you. Ask any heart Dr... Mix Lard and Flour and sugar together till crumbly. Make that 2 tbsp sugar. If flour does not turn loose from mixing bowl after 1 c. Buttermilk then add 2 tbsp. Buttermilk till it does. Try it you will like it.
