COTTAGE CHEESE DUMPLINGS WITH
CRUMBS
 
Beat 1 egg with fork and add 1/2 teaspoon salt and then add 1 cup mashed cottage cheese, mix slightly. Then add flour (1 1/4 cups) or little more if needed to make stiff dough. Drop into boiling salted water with tablespoon and let boil for 12 minutes. Take out of water and put on dish to drain. Have butter melted with the crumbs added and pour over dumplings after drained.

Just wanted to let you know thank you for the recipe. Could not remember how my mom made these. She added a little less flour and put in some Farina or Cream of Wheat to hold them together. Cannot wait to make.
