PEANUT BUTTER CAKE 
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. butter
1 c. peanut butter
3 eggs, beaten
2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
2 c. buttermilk

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Cream together sugar, butter and peanut butter. Add eggs one at a time, beating after each addition. Sift together dry ingredients. Add alternately with buttermilk to cream mixture. Bake for 35 to 45 minutes. Frost with white cream frosting with small amounts of peanut butter added or use the following recipe.

PEANUT BUTTER FROSTING:

2 c. sugar
1 c. milk
2 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. peanut butter

Combine sugar and milk. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Boil without stirring until a small amount forms a soft ball in cold water. Add butter and vanilla. Add peanut butter and beat until smooth and ready to spread. Frost cake after it has completely cooled.
