1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
1 c. butter
1/2 tsp. almond extract
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. (each) baking soda, cream of tartar, vanilla
1 egg

Mix and refrigerate 3 hours. Roll out on floured surface to 1/8 inch thick and cut out. Bake 375 degrees for 6 to 8 minutes; watch carefully.

FROSTING:

3 c. powdered sugar
1/3 c. butter
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
About 2 tbsp. milk
