THERESA EASTER EGG BREAD | |
5 c. flour 1 tsp. salt 3/4 c. sugar 2 pkgs. dry yeast 4 eggs 1/4 c. warm water 3/4 c. warm milk 1/2 c. butter 1. Dissolve 2 packages yeast, 1/2 teaspoon sugar in warm water. Put aside. 2. Melt butter in warm milk (cool). 3. Beat eggs. Add sugar, salt. 4. Mix 1, 2 and 3 together. Wet hands with oil. 5. Add 2 cups of flour at a time. 6. Cover after mixed with plastic and towel. Raise 2 times in bowl. 7. Grease loaf pans, place dough in pans and let raise again. 8. Brush with either egg whites or egg yolk after cooked. You could braid dough and place on cookie sheet. Bake 350 degrees, 35 minutes. |
