BRAN MUFFINS 
1 heaping c. Crisco
4 eggs
2 1/2 c. sugar
1 qt. buttermilk
5 c. flour
2 c. bran buds
4 c. Kellogg's All Bran
2 c. hot water
5 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 tsp. salt

In a large bowl, mix Crisco, All-Bran and hot water. Stir and cool. Beat 4 eggs and add sugar. Add to above mixture. Add remaining ingredients. Mix and store in refrigerator. Keeps 5 to 6 weeks. Grease pan. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. Makes 5 dozen muffins. Great for company and once it's mixed, no more mess.
