CHOCOLATE CHIP POUND CAKE
SQUARES

POUND CAKE SQUARES:

1 cup sugar
2/3 cup butter
3 eggs
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 tbsp. vanilla

Preheat oven to 350°F.

In a large bowl beat together sugar and butter at low speed until light and fluffy, scraping sides often (1 to 2 minutes). Continue beating and add eggs, one at a time, until creamy (1 to 2 minutes).

Fold in other ingredients by hand - pour into 9-inch square baking pan and bake at 350°F for 30 to 35 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Cool and cut into squares.

HOMEMADE CHOCOLATE SAUCE:

1 cup mini-chocolate chips
1/2 cup whipping cream

Put sauce ingredients in a small saucepan. Heat and stir over low heat until chocolate chips are melted.

Serve over cooled squares.
