MA'S TOMATO SOUP CAKE 
2 c. sifted flour
1 c. seedless raisins
1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
2 tbsp. shortening
1/2 tsp. mace
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
Salt
1 egg, well beaten
3 tsp. baking powder
1 can condensed tomato soup

Sift together flour, spices, soda and baking powder. Wash raisins and cut in small pieces, roll in 2 tablespoons flour mixture. Cream shortening, add sugar gradually. Add egg, mix lightly. Add flour mixture alternately with soup and stir until smooth. Fold in raisins. Pour into 8 1/2 inch square greased pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour until done.
