MISSISSIPPI MUD CAKE 
2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1 c. butter
1 c. water
3 1/2 tbsp. cocoa
1/2 c. buttermilk
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda

Mix flour and sugar. Set aside. Mix butter, water and cocoa in pan. Bring to a boil. Pour hot mixture over flour and sugar and stir. Add buttermilk, eggs, vanilla and baking soda. Mix. Put in a 9x13 inch pan and bake in a 300 degree oven for 18 minutes. Pour icing over cake while hot.

ICING:

1 stick butter
3 1/2 tbsp. cocoa
1/3 c. buttermilk
1 lb. powdered sugar
1 c. pecans
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix butter, cocoa and buttermilk in pan. Bring to a boil and boil for 2 minutes. Add sugar, pecans and vanilla. Pour over hot cake.
