GRANOLA YUMMIES | |
8 c. oats 1 c. shredded coconut 1 1/2 c. wheat germ 1/3 c. chopped cashews (optional) 1/3 c. almonds (optional) 1 c. sesame seed 1 c. sunflower seed 3/4 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract 1 1/4 c. corn oil 1 c. honey Combine first 8 ingredients in large bowl; mix well. Blend vanilla, oil and honey in small bowl. Add to oats mixture; mix quickly until evenly coated. Spread on 3 ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Turn mixture over with spatula. Bake for 10 minutes longer. Reduce heat to 250 degrees. Bake until brown. Cool. Store in air tight container. Yield: 4 quarts of granola. |
