TONY ROMA'S ONION RING LOAF 
6 to 7 sm. white onions
2 lg. eggs
2 tbsp. milk
1 to 1 1/3 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
3 c. vegetable oil for frying

Slice onions into 1/4 inch rings. Combine eggs and milk in medium bowl. Put flour into large bowl. Heat oil to 385 degrees in a deep fryer or heavy 4 quart saucepan. Dip wire basket into hot oil and then transfer to a foil lined cookie sheet for a while.

Dip onion rings into egg mixture, then into flour, tossing to coat evenly. Layer rings in basket, coating and layering until all have been used. Press them firmly down in basket.

Fry 12 to 15 minutes or until all are browned and crisp. Remove and drain briefly on paper towels. Loosen and invert on serving plate. Serves: 6.
