APPLE PIE BARS 
2 1/2 c. flour
1 c. butter
3/4 tsp. salt
1 egg, separated
Milk
Sliced apples
1 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
2 tbsp. flour

Mix flour, butter and salt. Put egg yolk into measuring cup and add enough milk to make 2/3 cup. Add to first ingredients. Press into 9x13 inch cake pan and cover with apples. Sprinkle sugar, cinnamon and 2 tablespoons flour over apples. Cover with remaining dough. Beat egg white and brush over crust.

Bake at 425 degrees for 10 minutes, then finish at 375 degrees for 20-25 minutes. Frost with powdered sugar glaze.
