APPLE PIE BARS 
3 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 c. sugar
1 c. Crisco
1/2 c. water
1 egg, beaten

Mix flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, Crisco, and mix like pie crust. Add water and egg and form into a ball. Chill.

FILLING:

8 c. apples, peeled and sliced
2 tbsp. tapioca
1 c. sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon

Mix all together. Roll or press 2/3 of crust into bottom of 10 x 15 inch pan, place apple mixture on top. Roll out remaining 1/3 of dough and place on top. Can make a lattice top if desired. Bake at 350 degrees for 45-55 minutes. When cool frost with icing.

ICING:

4 tbsp. butter, melted
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tbsp. milk
1 2/3 c. powdered sugar

Mix together and frost pie bars.
