NOEL WREATHS 
1 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. flour
1 1/3 c. finely chopped nuts
1/4 c. maple syrup

Beat butter with sugar, beat in egg and vanilla. Stir in flour a third at a time, blending well to make a soft dough.

Measure out 1/3 of the dough and mix with the nuts and maple syrup. Reserve for centers. Use cookie press and make wreath shapes. Fill centers with reserved mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 minutes. 6 dozen cookies.
