PESTO PIZZA 
DOUGH:

1 1/2 c. whole wheat flour
1 1/2 c. unbleached white flour
1 pkg. yeast
1 c. warm water
1 tsp. each salt, oil & sugar
Olive oil

Dissolve yeast in water. Add flour, oil, salt and sugar. Knead until stiff dough forms. Let rise 1/2 hour, then spread into pizza pan. Spread with small amount of olive oil.

PIZZA:

Mozzarella cheese
Pesto sauce
Red sauce
Pizza toppings (olives, mushrooms, onions, etc.)

Spread dough with small amount of red sauce. Then cover with pesto sauce. Add grated cheese. Then add favorite toppings. Bake at 350 degrees for 1/2 hour.

PESTO SAUCE:

4 c. basil (fresh)
1/2 c. olive oil
2 cloves garlic
Pepper to taste
6 sprigs parsley
1/4 c. pine nuts or almonds
1/2 c. Parmesan cheese

Place basil in food processor. Add all other ingredients except Parmesan cheese. Chop until fine. Remove from processor and add the Parmesan cheese. Makes 2 cups.
