BEEF CASSEROLE 
1 lg. onion
3 stalks celery
1 green pepper
1 lb. ground beef
1 can chow mein noodles
1 can mushroom soup
1/2 c. water
1/2 tsp. salt
Dash of pepper

Cut onion, celery and pepper coarsely. Cook beef in 1 tablespoon butter for several minutes and transfer to a medium size casserole. Cook until limp. Stir in mushroom soup, water, salt, pepper and mix with beef. Cover and bake 30 minutes. Remove cover, sprinkle surface with noodles and bake 10 minutes longer. Bake in 325 degree oven.
