GLUHWEIN 
1 tsp. orange peel
1 c. water
1/4 c. sugar
2 sticks cinnamon, broken up
8 whole cloves

Pour spices in tea ball and hang into sugar and water. Simmer for 5 minutes. Add:

2 c. red wine
Squirt of lemon

Heat and serve. Yields: 6 small cups.

The traditional drink at the Christkindelmark of Nurnberg. Excellent any winter evening.
