BUTTERMILK SALAD 
1 lg. can crushed pineapple in heavy syrup
1 lb. box Jello, strawberry or mixed fruit
1 large container Cool Whip
2 c. fresh buttermilk
3/4 c. pecans

Heat pineapple, remove from heat, add Jello and stir until dissolved. Cool, then add buttermilk, nuts and Cool Whip. Mix well and pour into a dish with cover. Keep refrigerated. Will keep several days.
