PEANUT BUTTER OATMEAL COOKIES 
3/4 c. shortening
1/2 c. creamy peanut butter
1 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 c. water
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. quick oatmeal

In large bowl, combine shortening, sugar, peanut butter and eggs. Mix until creamy. Sift together dry ingredients; add to peanut butter mixture. Add water and oats; beat until thoroughly blended. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake in moderate 375 degree oven for 12-15 minutes or until done. Makes 3 dozen cookies.
