 Alex (Massachusetts) says:
I personally think rolling them in sugar is too "sugary". But I do agree that you should put the kiss in and bake for another two minutes!!

SERIOUSLY, DELICIOUS!! Do make these! I took them out after 8 min, then put the kisses on, and back in the oven for 1 more minute. Soooo good. Thanks for the recipe!

Thanks for the hint about putting them back in the oven for a minute, we make this every year.

I put christmas colored (red and green) M&M's on some. Depending on the size of the cookie, 3-4 on the top and pressed in, makes a pretty holiday cookie. I've also used the peppermint striped kisses.

 Cynthia (New York) says:
They are delicious, but I found the cookies to be to salty.
I was thinking that I should omit the salt since the butter has salt and the peanut butter has salt? Or could I use unsalted butter and then still us the salt, or even less salt instead of the full teaspoon? I will have to play with the recipe to find the right thing...

Our family loves Kiss cookies but our son is sensitive to peanut butter. Any suggestions on how to alter the recipe? Tried to experiment on my own last year but they turned out awful!

 Sara (Texas) says:
Maria, there are other Kiss recipes without peanut butter, just keep looking!

Maria, if your son is sensitive to peanut butter try soy peanut butter. It works as good as peanut butter but less sensitive and no alergic reaction to soy peanut butter. I am a preschool teacher and we use soy peanut butter.

I tried it with other kinds of kisses, the caramel one and for valentines I use cherry flavored. You can use soy peanut butter instead of peanut butter.

I just got finished making these and my batter didn't seem thick enough to roll the cookies. They turned out good anyways.

This recipe turned out fantastic they are very good!!! Would make them again for my kids. I recommend putting the Hershey's chocplates in for about 2 minutes when the cookies are done baking. It makes the kiss melt in your mouth - very good.
