HOT FRUIT CASSEROLE 
12 dried macaroons, crumbled
4-6 c. canned fruit, such as peach halves, pear halves, apricot halves, pineapple slices, mandarin oranges and cherries, drained
1/2 c. slivered almonds
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. any kind sherry
1/4 c. melted butter

Butter a 2 1/2 quart casserole. Cover bottom with macaroon crumbs. Alternate layers of mixed fruits and macaroons, ending with macaroons. Sprinkle with sherry, brown sugar, and almonds. Bake in preheated 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Drizzle on melted butter and serve hot. 8 servings.
