OLD TIME FRUIT ROLL 
6 c. sugar
2 c. milk
1 lb. raisins
1 lb. walnuts, chopped
1 lb. pecans, chopped
1 lb. almonds, chopped
1/4 lb. candied citrus
2 c. shredded coconut, optional
1/2 lb. dates
1/2 lb. figs
1/4 lb. candied cherries

Cook sugar and milk to soft ball stage. Chop remaining ingredients coarsely in large mixing bowl. Add cooked mixture; mix thoroughly. Pour onto damp cloth; shape into a long roll; cool. Store for at least 24 hours slice. May be refrigerated for several weeks. Great for the holidays!
