CANDIED YAMS 
8 med. sweet potatoes
1 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 c. chopped pecans
1/2 c. water
2 tbsp. light corn syrup
1 1/2 c. miniature marshmallows

Cook sweet potatoes covered in enough lightly salted boiling water to cover for 35 to 40 minutes or until tender. Drain, cool slightly. Peel and cut into 1/2 inch slices, place potato slices in a 12 x 7 1/2 x 2 inch baking dish. Combine brown sugar, pecans, raisins; sprinkle over potatoes. Combine water and corn syrup, pour over potatoes. Bake covered in a 350 degree oven for 15 minutes. Uncover, top with marshmallows, bake 10 minutes more or until marshmallows are browned and mixture is heated through. Makes 12 to 14 servings.
