BUTTER & BREAKFAST CAKE 
1 c. sugar
1/4 to 1/3 c. butter
1 egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. milk
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. butter

In medium mixing bowl put sugar and butter. Blend until smooth and well mixed, then add egg and vanilla and beat until well blended. Combine flour and baking powder and alternately with milk add these ingredients to the egg mixture. Mix until smooth. Pour batter into an 8 inch glass greased pie plate. Combine flour, sugar and butter; blend together into fine crumbs and spread over cake. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Bake around 35 minutes or until done.
