4 tbsp. shortening
1 egg
1 c. sifted all purpose flour
1/2 c. sugar
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tbsp., sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Melt shortening; cool slightly and mix with beaten egg and milk. Sift dry ingredients together several times. Pour liquid ingredients into sifted dry ingredients and stir only long enough to smooth out lumps. Pour into greased pan. Sprinkle with mixed cinnamon and sugar and bake 12-15 minutes at 375 degrees.
