APPLE TART
1 pie crust
4 c. apples
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
Dabs of butter

Roll pie crust into large circle that would overlap a pie pan. Place in pie pan - mound apples in center, sprinkle with cinnamon, sugar and dot with butter. Take overlap of dough and bring it up over the apples all the way around. A circle of apples will be exposed in the middle. Spread milk on dough and sprinkle with sugar.

Bake at 325 degrees (laying a piece of foil on top of crust until last 10 minutes). Uncover and finish browning. Bake at 325 degrees, about 40 minutes.

Our family likes this as a change of pace - less filling than a double crusted pie. Mike says - a little ice cream on top to finish it off.
